License period is for 2 years (a licensee’s first cycle is dependent upon when you apply for license). The average start up costs to become licensed is approximately $1,500-$1,800 (includes pre-licensing education and estimating desk fees, REALTOR® dues, MLS fees, business cards, flyers and any other items your Broker may require you to obtain). Broker / Associate Broker: You must be a licensed salesperson for 2 years before you can obtain a Broker/Associate Broker license. Then meet a certain amount of sales/productivity, complete a minimum of 90 hours of Broker pre-licensing courses, pass another fingerprint background check and pass the Idaho Broker National/State exam.
