We are thrilled you have chosen our product for your offline survival and education needs. We look forward to it providing peace of mind and anytime-access to the resources you need, wherever you are.

Getting Started

Your Prepper Disk device has thousands of resources from reliable, community driven, open source, and public domain sources. Most of the resources herein are presented in their original format, which may vary from source to source. Documents, video s, and images are designed to work on any Wi-Fi device, with a few notable guidelines for usage below.

Initial Load Times

Resources like Wikipedia and Maps have large databases and will take approximately 60 seconds to l oad.

Wikipedia will appear blank and Search will not function until fully loaded. Maps will prevent zooming until fully loaded, after whic h point you can zoom to the street level in any of the supported geographies (US, Europe, and Oceania).

Properly Shutting Down Your Device

To extend the life of your device, always click "Power Off" (located in green at the bottom of the main menu ) before shutting down your device.

Opening PDF Documents

PDF documents may not open (ERR_BLOCKED) in certain versions of Chrome unless you do one of the following:

  • Chrome on Windows : Hold the CTRL button when you click the link
  • Chrome on Mac : Hold the ⌘ button when you click the link
  • Chrome on Mobile : Perform a "long press" (press and hold on the link) and then choose to open in a new tab
Mobile Device Warnings

On mobile devices, you may receive one of the following warnings while using your device:

  • "The connection has no Internet access" : This message appears because your Prepper Disk is an offline device. You can choose "Keep Tryin g Wifi" if shown this message.
  • "The connecton is not secure" : Offline devices like Prepper Disk cannot use HTTPS because of restrictions on how a disconnected device us es secure certificates. You can safely ignore this warning, or "Proceed Anyway"
